Dianbai Dialect (電白 Diánbái)

Several languages come together in Dianbai. The following analysis comes from 汉语方言大词典. "Leizhou-hua" is spoken in Shuidong Township (水東鎮) of the city (城關) and in the districts (區) of Lintou (林頭), Poxin (坡心), Qijing Xiadong (七徑霞洞), Yangjiao (羊角). The following townships (鎮) and districts (區) speak "Dianbai Sea Dialect" (電白海話), a variety of Leizhou Min Dialect: Yanhaidiancheng (沿海電城), Bohe (博賀), Shayuan (沙院), Nanhai (南海), Danchang (旦場), Chen Village (陳村), Magang (麻崗), Shuzi (樹仔), Jueshan (爵山), Dabang (大榜), Mata (馬踏), etc. Hakka is spoken along the northern border of the county in a few villages of Xiadong District (霞洞) and in all of the following districts: Daya (大衙), Shalang (沙瑯), Wangfu (望夫), Nahuo (那霍), Luokeng (羅坑), Huangling (黃岭), Guanzhu (觀珠). Gaoyang Yue is spoken in Yangjiao District (羊角區), most of Bohe Township (博賀鎮) and in a few villages of Qijing District (七徑區).
