Tones in Huainan Dialects 淮南方言聲調表 Compiled by James Campbell
The tone data presented here are standard and based on the Ancient Chinese Tonal System. Since data was collected from multiple sources, all occurrences of data have been included. Although this inflates the list, the researcher can readily determine how many publications agree with each other. You may also notice some researchers have published the same contours, but just a pitch higher or lower than their fellow researchers.
A tutorial is provided here for interpreting these tables.
There are currently 5 Huainan dialects listed on this page.
Please send comments, additions, erratae, or corrigendae to James.
