    Tones in Min Dialects
    ???????
    Compiled by James Campbell

The tone data presented here are standard and based on the Ancient Chinese Tonal System. Since data was collected from multiple sources, all occurrences of data have been included. Although this inflates the list, the researcher can readily determine how many publications agree with each other. You may also notice some researchers have published the same contours, but just a pitch higher or lower than their fellow researchers.

The tables on this page are organized by linguistic taxonomy, to the best of my knowledge. Click a language branch in the box below to jump to that part of the list.

A tutorial is provided here for interpreting these tables.

There are currently 69 Min dialects listed on this page.

Please send comments, additions, erratae, or corrigendae to James.
